MPP'S RADIO ADS FROM JIM HIGHTOWER'S SHOW 2006-2007The runner-up in MPP's December ad contest was "Overdose Quiz," a 30-second radio spot in the form of a game show, with contestants asked to identify which of three drugs has never caused a fatal overdose. After incorrectly choosing Tylenol and caffeine, the contestants are informed that the correct answer is marijuana. The new spot is now airing on the Jim Hightower syndicated Common Sense Commentaries and on the Downsize D.C. radio show. You can listen to it here. The winning ad, which aired in January and February, featured a woman explaining that, as a marijuana user, she wants to contribute tax revenue for schools and roads rather than supplying profits to drug dealers. Listen to this radio commercial here. A previous ad challenged the federal government's priorities for diverting money to arresting medical marijuana patients while cutting anti-terrorism funding. Listen to this radio commercial here. Another MPP radio ad explained how government-funded research has shown marijuana doesn't cause cancer. Listen to this radio commercial here. Our first radio ad discussed prominent officials who have used marijuana. Listen to this radio commercial here. Our contract with Hightower's show expires at the end of June; please donate now to support our efforts to produce and air more ads!
